Insanity

Hi kids, how's it going?

I've just finished my second day back at school, which means I've been to all my classes at least once. I have to say that I'm very excited for most of them (there's just one that it's really.. grrr), which is a change from last semester. I hope I can really do my best on all of them, and I hope the enthusiasm lasts for more than 2 days!! I am just really looking f0rward to make up for my mistakes last semester.

Currently it's 9.09pm and i'm sitting in one of the outisde hallways. I thought my enthusiasm on this semester was a sign that I had gone nuts but I think I was wrong. Sitting outside typing this with 9ºC (that's 47ºF for my adored US readers) *is* the sign that I have gone completely nuts. Oh boy my fingers are freezing! And I'd be lying if I said I'm not rather enjoying it. Hey! It's January already! I would like some winter before this turns into another sun-filled hell.

Now I will head to take the bus back home... um and then dinner and bed. I'm dead! I hope I can survive 4 months of this.

So moving on... today I got my Day & Age vinyl on the mail! Hurray! I ordered it on my birthday (back in november) and it just arrived. I don't mind the delay, I know the mail is really shit already, and the holidays just make it worst.

But all is forgiven because my new baby is here. Not only that, but the folks at Insound (really cool shop, particualrly if you love vinyl like me) also included a Conor Oberst poster. It's like they read my mind really! Muchas gracias!

I got a Pop Montreal CD that I'll be spinning in the car to check it out and some buttons... but serioulsy a Conor Oberst poster! That's such an epic win.

Oh also the Day & Age vinyl includes two really cool posters. One is huge and double sided with the album artwork on one side and a picture of each of the band members in a similar style. And the other one is a 12" B&W picture of the band, with the download code in the back (which I can't use cause i'm in not in the US tyvm, but it's fine cause I already have the CD) and another number (which i presume is the numbering of the vinyl).

This is really just what I needed to start my week back at work.

I'm not feeling very jolly today.. err tonight, whatever. I'm actually rather annoyed, upset, but I can't find the right word for it.

I'm not angry, or maybe I am. Just that I am angry towards certain people. I'm slightly worried (no idea about what exactly) and a tiny bit sad. Also feeling like saying fuck you to more than one. And very contemplative of certain unfairness. Maybe I am angry, I don't know.

It's not very often that I get to um.. feel attached to something so maybe that's what's pissing me off.

I still don't know.

Live

So the National Public Radio of the US is a whole new concept for me. But they have quite a collection of live shows. Right now I'm listening to Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band @ the 9:30 Club in D.C. (still mad about them cancelling their date here, rawr). But they have a lot of stuff, like Radiohead, Of Montreal, Fleet Foxes, and more. Too bad I only discovered this, when I'm about to go back to work... argggh
